Create
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, “CREATOR” of heaven and earth.
--Nicene Creed
When you ponder the word “create” who would you first place in your mind—we bless you for our creation.
When I was little, I used to say my prayers before I climbed into bed, all mumble, jumble, as fast as I could. Only in memorized things, like prayers, with much repetitiveness, did I finally realize and concluded I didn’t even know the meaning of what I was saying. There were three churches in town. I went to bible school at each church. I memorized many bible verses. It stuck with me. Even I was created, one of nine siblings. I was #7.
I consider my life as a book of chapters, each chapter creating to newness of life along with age and maturity. I went through a creative period of creativity with stamping greeting cards, actually did two years of Christmas greeting cards. Also a stint of years under the tutelage of our own Rita Brothwell, first a kneeler for the church, with the help of Robert McLaughlin’s help in design. It took me 3 years. Also under Rita’s guidance, taught me the art of decorating goose eggs, with cut doors opening for a 3 dimensional scenes within. Rita actually gave me one A+!
“Create” covers such a large meaning.
Still as a child, I used to say, to frequently in my prayers, Create in ME, self-respect—on and on always ME, until I became aware—how selfish of me—so in my maturity stopped asking to be recreated to something I wasn’t. Since I ask of dear and gracious God to create in others for whatever reason, and in accordance to our baptismal vows so clearly stated… “I will with God’s help
