Connecting
Bertha Rocray
For those of us in our St. John's community, “what did the word connect mean to you this week?” No doubt, like me, your first thought may have been of the new connector building. This means safety and easy access to our buildings enabling us to expand our ministries and make our buildings accessible to all.
How will this new connector help you connect? Will you become more active in the worship or will you become part of the service of St. John's?
We all have many social connections, but when did you first connect with God? Was it at home, at Baptism, Sunday School or during a walk in the woods/ Our connection with God is very personal but always available and never ending.
During the pandemic we all suffered from a disconnect from family and friends, but never from God who is always there regardless of the circumstances. How fortunate we are to have a loving God who is always there to listen and help.
As we rejoice about our new connector, think how you will use it to connect with God and your St. John's community. There are many opportunities awaiting us as we move forward. Perhaps you have an idea for a new program or a service project-an excellent time to come forward.
Last of all I would like to thank all who made this possible. May it help us all to connect in new and exciting ways with God and our St. John's community.
