The stories of Saint Nicholas of Myra point to someone who walked the way of love in a very visible way. He had a reputation as a generous giver of gifts, often secret gifts where his identity as the gift giver was only discovered later. Our gospel today is a reminder of the love of Jesus directed to each one of us as a beloved child of God. May we rest in the knowledge of that blessing. The Rev.
