From deep roots, new life

The Rev. Fred Chisolm

Capital Campaign Series:

Help us share the good news about

From Deep Roots, New Life!

"We need to adapt to meet people where they are, just as Jesus did. The School for Ministry allows us to train and support clergy and lay leaders within the context of their communities, their jobs, and the relationships in which they will serve at the end of their formation."

— The Rev. Fred Chisolm

This week’s testimonial video features The Rev. Fred Chisolm, priest-in-charge at St. John's in Walpole. An electrical engineer by training who continues to work in manufacturing while he serves at St. John's part time, Chisholm is one of an increasing number of bi-vocational priests. By attending the School for Ministry—one of the five funding priorities of the From Deep Roots, New Life campaign—he was able to follow his call to the priesthood while maintaining his secular career and remaining in his community.

This campaign is focused on investing in our people, not buildings. From Deep Roots, New Life allows us to create a lasting endowment to train, place, and support the lay and ordained leaders in our churches—all our churches, and the communities they support.
