"May we be whole-hearted."

In his life and ministry, Jesus manifested a centripetal force, the act of drawing in, rather than casting out. In our country today, the harm done in the name of Christian Nationalism, by reducing God to not only an American, but a certain kind of American, is that movements such as that create power and momentum by alienating, by "othering," by saying that if you are not like me then you do not belong. We must live into God's and Jesus' teachings by drawing in, by loving all, by being in relationship. May we be about drawing in, and not casting out. May we be whole-hearted.
