Honoring Harry Moon

Harry Edward Moon (1937-2024)

Harry E. Moon of South Berwick, Maine died September 30, 2024, after a period of declining health. He was able to make his final journey from his own home because of the steadfast and loving care of his wife of 55 years, Marlene (Molly) Hudson Moon.

Harry was a man of immense talent and caring who touched thousands of people throughout his life with his music and his devotion to family, friends, and acquaintances. While he will be remembered by many for his substantial impact as a choral conductor and musician, it was Harry’s kindness, generosity, patience, focus and commitment to others that will be remembered by many more. You can read more about his life in this obituary.

Harry was the interim choral director at St. John's, as many choir members recall, and the longtime conductor of the Community Chorus at South Berwick, where he is remembered fondly. There is no service scheduled yet, but the family has asked for donations to CCSB in honor of Harry.
