This Sunday, June 12th, we welcome children to the lower level of Thaxter Hall at 9:30AM for the final gathering of Sunday school. We hope to see many of you there to celebrate a great year of coming back and navigating this world together.
We will celebrate our amazing adult volunteers and teen leaders, who have been such a gift to our community and an incredible support to St. John’s staff through the seasons. They have been consistent, loving, open, flexible and prepared. Your children love and admire them. Please give them a big hug / fist bump / high five and say thanks! Without them, we wouldn’t have a program.
After the 9:30 service, please plan to stick around for a short and very sweet concert performed by our musical friends in the sanctuary. The show should begin around 10:45 and we hope to sing for our church friends and family and bring some joy to your morning. The performance is made up of some big hit songs from our favorite movie-musicals and will run about 25 minutes long. If you’d like to view it from afar, here is the link to the livestream.
Next up for kids’ programming is our Community Theater Camp! This camp is open to all students 9-12 (and some special 8-year-olds) who are interested in the messy fun of becoming PLAYMAKERS. Actor and teacher Kendall Mood is directing, and we have a great program for these kids! Suggested cost for the week is $200 per family, however we will accept any students at any fee that works for their family. The first week out of school is hard for lots of families to acclimate to a new schedule, and the cost of summer camps can be astronomical. We hope you will consider this for any kiddos you know who might benefit! (Click graphic below for more info.)
On July 16th is the Diocesan-sponsored ‘Family Fun Day on the Seacoast’ at Odiorne State Park in Rye NH from 10:30AM-2PM. All families are welcome. Registration required!
We hope to see you over the summer with some fun family nights / gatherings. Those dates will be announced, so stay tuned!
