The Solemn Liturgy of the Passion and Death of our Lord honors the darkest part of the Christian story. We read the story of Jesus’ journey to the cross and his death at the hands of the Roman Empire and religious authorities. This day is a reminder that there is no resurrection without death and honors the sacrifice of love that Jesus offered on the cross.
