Bach's Toccata and More! with Organ, Strings and Flute
The PSO Family Matinee Concert Series returns to St. John’s, with guest organist, our own Jennifer McPherson Mulhern! This performance features the PSO String Quartet who will be joined by Aubrie Dionne, PSO principal flutist; and guest student musician, Advika Govindaraju. Bach’s Toccata offers audiences an unforgettable musical experience with its lively melodies and rhythmic patterns for organ. In Corette’s Concerto in D minor for flute, strings, and organ, the flute is the star of the show with its lyrical and graceful melodies that evoke emotions of joy and wonder. The strings and organ provide a rich and harmonious accompaniment, creating a tapestry of sounds that will resonate with listeners of all ages. In addition, Govindaraju will perform movements from Ernest Bloch's Suite Modale for Flute and Organ. There is a $15 per family at-the-door suggested donation.
