Waiting and changing

The Rev. Robert E. Stevens, Jr. preaches on the Gospel of Matthew 25:1-13.

Waiting and changing are not optional, they are not the exception, but the rule. Waiting, no matter if the wait is for something wonderful and positive, or challenging and negative, can be excruciating when we have to do it alone. What if the church, all of us, saw one of our primary missions to be that of going into the world and offering to wait with others so that they didn’t have to do it alone?
